Kashikoi sat in his home, not looking forwards to the day that lay ahead of him. There were many decisions to be made. What of this Villaged Hidden in the Past? What would they do about it? What could they do about it? Should he support its existence or was it a threat to their existence? It was obvious that he had to keep his personal thoughts out of this and think about his village. If they truly were a threat then he could not offer them any support. Decisions decisions...couldn't live with them and couldn't live without them. They were kinda like women. He chuckled at his little joke but he knew it wasn't true. He loved Natsuki with all his heart and wouldn't give her up for the world.
The light was only getting brighter and Kashikoi decided he probably ought to get up and get ready to get back to his duties as Mizukage. His muscles were already starting to tense up. It was going to be another long day.

Natsuki padded up the steps of the home she shared with her husband. She had just returned from a mission and she was battered, tired and dirty, but glad to be home. A big smile lit up her face as she opened the door and called,
"I'm home, Kashi!" It had been about a week since she had been home and she wanted nothing more than to be enfolded in Kashikoi's arms where she knew she was safe.

Kashikoi was feeling moody about work. That was until he heard a familiar voice, one that he had not heard for too long. Natsuki! In moments he was at her side, stealing a kiss from her lips, and wrapping her in a massive hug. "Natsu! My love! Welcome home! I've missed you so much. Its been unbearable around here without you and I was a little worried. I don't like to see you gone. So anything knew? How did the mission go?"

Natsuki laughed as Kashikoi came to her, kissed her and wrapped her in a hug. Her bag fell to the ground and her arms went around his waist. God, she had missed him. It was hard for both of them to be apart for long.
"I missed you too, sweetheart. The mission was relatively easy. Well, there is one thing that's new...I just found out in fact..." Natsuki said a little nervously.

Kashikoi raised an eyebrow, trying to think of what she could possibly be talking about. He wasn't really worried about it since she didn't seem hurt or sick. It must be good news. But what could it possibly be? "Well don't keep me waiting? What is it!?" He exclaimed with a smile. Nothing was going to get him down for now.

Natsuki really didn't know how to say what she wanted to. It was so unexpected that she didn't really have anything prepared to tell Kashikoi. Instead of saying something, she broke away from him, picked up her bag and headed to her bedroom. It was time for her to get cleaned up.
"Kashi, sorry, I need to get clean." Natsuki said as she glanced at her stomach. It was flat. Nothing.

Kashikoi was surprised when she took off into their room. He followed her and he noticed her glance at her stomach. He knew something was up and he leaned on the frame of the door to their room. "Don't play that game with me honey. I know something is up. Please, you know you can talk to me about anything." He walked over to the bed and took a seat there, padding the spot next to him with his hand; inviting her to take a seat.

"Oh, I know, I just don't know how to say this...I'm pregnant." Natsuki finally spit it out as she combed through her hair. She didn't really know what to expect from Kashikoi on this subject. They hadn't really discussed children at all. She knew she would be the one to raise and kids considering Kashikoi was the Kazukage, but she didn't realy mind. Natsuki had been a hired body gaurd for so long that a nice change would probably be good for her.

Although he thought he was prepared for anything, Kashikoi was anything but prepared for this news. She was...pregnant? S-she was pregnant? Pregnant? When-where-how, well he knew that one, but...but...He slowly repeated the words to himself. She. Was. Pregnant. Finally it made the connection. For a moment he was a little nervous but that was soon replaced with joy. He jumped out of the bed. "Thats wonderful! We're having kids!" Then he began to think about parenting. What would his children think of him?

Natsuki laughed from the other side of the bathroom door. From the sound of Kashikoi's happiness, she was half expecting him to enter the bathroom so she jumped into the shower, allowing the warm water run over her aching body in rivulets as it washed away days of grit and dirt among other things. Natsuki smiled to herself as the relaxed her and she listened to her husbands happiness. They were finally startinga family of their own.

He soon got tired of waiting for Natsu and started thinking of things he had to do today. Suddenly he had an idea that was far more than attractive. He stripped out of his clothes, walked into the bathroom, and then proceeded to join Natsu in the shower. He wanted to talk to her about her pregnancy but that could wait a little bit. He couldn't help but laugh a little. Then he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "I love you."

Natsuki heard the door open and Kashikoi enter. She had expected that, but not him joining her. As he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her, Natsuki couldn't help but smile. She had such a good life and she loved her husband with every fiber in her being. Natsuki took Kashikoi's hands and said, turning her head into his,
"I love you too, my Kashi." Then she moved his hands so they were placed over her still flat stomach. It was too early for her to show and for the baby, or babies, to kick so there was nothing there, but it comforted her anyway.

Kashikoi wasn't looking forward to waiting all the months to see their child. So many questions were running through his head. Would they have a son or a daughter? What would he/she be like? How well would they do as parents? "I'm just a little worried about how this is going to work. I'm the Mizukage, I can't just drop my duties but I can't leave my child either. I want to spend time with our child and be a good father but how can I do that if I'm on duty all the time?"

Natsuki smiled sadly as Kashikoi brought the problem up of him working all the time. She had thought about this. With both of them working, one would either have to give up their job or they would have to hire a nanny. A nanny was unacceptable and Kashikoi couldn't just give up on being Mizukage. Natsuki had already decided she would give up her missions and become a stay-at-home mom. The mission she had just finished had been her last. The next nine months would be spent learning how to cook effectively and how to care for a child. She knew she had no idea what to do.
"I already thought of that and I have decided to stop going on missions. Not only would it be bad for the baby if something happened, but I will not allow our child to grow up not knowing his or her parents..." Natsuki said softly. She loved her job, but sacrafice was required in everything and Natsuki was strong enough to realize it.

Kashikoi didn't like the idea...and yet...at the same time...he saw some good sides to it. For one, the baby would have someone to take care of it and, more importantly, that person would be its mother. They also would not have to worry about something happening to Natsu, but he still didn't like the fact that he was not going to be able to be around all the time for his child. "Well, if thats what it takes to keep our baby safe and happy, then let it be so. Are you sure you don't want me to resign?"
